Just before midnight, the Indiana General Assembly completed their work for the 2015 Session by approving the $31 billion state budget. We are honored and humbled to share that our request for additional resources to restore cuts from 2010 were a part of that budget.

Speaker Brian Bosma told the House that he believes in miracles but there's not going to be one this year; the legislature will be going to the last statutory day, Wednesday, rather than finishing early as many had hoped. Midnight Wednesday is the deadline for the session to adjourn, and Speaker Bosma says they will adjourn by then with a budget for 2015-17 having been adopted.
The United States is embarking on the 80th Anniversary of its Social Security programs this year. On April 27th, Carolyn W. Colvin, Acting Commissioner of Social Security, officially released Vision 2025. Over the next decade, the vision is meant to guide Social Security through with three key priorities: superior customer experience, exceptional employees, and being an innovative organization.
