(October 24, 2016) - Ability Indiana has designated the City of Evansville as an “Ability City”. The designation recognizes the City’s long-standing commitment to supporting the employment of Hoosiers with disabilities at employment centers across the greater Evansville area.

Employment Report (Local Area Unemployment Statistics) Labor Force Estimates for U.S., Indiana, MSAs, Counties, Cities Ranking of Indiana Counties by Unemployment Rate Indiana County Map with Unemployment Rates Today Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) announced that on December 5, 2016, the IHCP will replace the current information processing system, IndianaAIM, with a new system called CoreMMIS, which stands for Core Medicaid Management Information System. Along with CoreMMIS, a new provider interface called the Provider Healthcare Portal (Portal) will replace Web interChange.
Over the past few months, Indiana Disability Rights (IDR) has visited work centers operating under the Department of Labor 14(c) sub-minimum wage certificate program. IDR did not provide any information or feedback on these site visits to work centers; however, IDR indicated a “white paper” would be issued in October of this year which would provide information regarding these visits.
The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division is seeking input from FLSA section 14(c) certificate holders as they work to develop an online application to replace their current paper-based system. Moving to a digital format will streamline the process, and make the transmission of information more convenient, efficient and secure for everyone.
