Your INARF staff and consultants have been busy over the past few weeks ensuring that HB 1001 stays on track for passage. Following is a synopsis of those recent activities around HB 1001.
On Tuesday, March 14, INARF staff and consultants met with several FSSA staff regarding HB 1001. At the meeting FSSA officials discussed their fiscal analysis of our proposed legislation, concerns regarding the verification language and process, and the possibility of an April 2018 implementation date. The following is an update sent Friday by Barbara Merrill, ANCOR's CEO, regarding the cancellation of the ACA vote:
Today was a huge win - there can be no minimizing it. Thank you for your advocacy! However, although it's possible that the proverbial fat lady has now sung the blues on the ACA repeal and replace, I want to share with you our lobbyist Rodney Whitlock's perspective. As outlined in the DDRS HCBS Statewide Transition Plan, the State had the Individual Experience Survey completed as part of the assessment of residential settings. providers completed non-residential setting self-assessments and submitted supporting documentation to validate responses to the self-assessments. Below is information provided by Cathy Robinson, BDDS Director, pertaining to the site visit process for residential settings:
