INARF member Peak Community Services, Inc. recently announced that Christopher Nabors, MBA has been named its new Chief Executive Officer. Nabors comes to Peak with more than 20 years of management and operational experience in strategic environments and replaces previous CEO Don Weikle.
Abilities Services, Inc. (ASI), INARF member and Ability Indiana employment center, announced that North Central Health Services (NCHS) approved its grant application. The grant will be used to fund construction of homes to be used in Abilities Services’ supported living program and will begin in April 2016. With the help of this grant, monthly rent will be reduced, individuals will be more integrated into the community and be within walking distance of various social events.
In 2011, Tom Sheehan created the Thomas P. and Sondra D. Sheehan Charitable Foundation to assist families in need of financial assistance for their children’s medical care. The idea for the foundation originated from the death of Tim Sheehan, Tom and Sondra’s son, from bone cancer in 1973 at the age of 12. The financial strains they faced during that time motivated them to help other families in need.
