-- To: Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services’ (DDRS) consumers and stakeholders From: Nicole Norvell, Director, DDRS Re: Caregiver Support Services Application Process Date: August 30, 2013 The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services would like to announce that Caregiver Support Services funds will be available for fiscal year 2014 starting September 1, 2013. Opportunity Enterprises has named David Stupay as its new President/CEO, replacing Ellen DeMartinis, who has served as Interim President/CEO since July 2012. DeMartinis will return to her position the Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Stupay comes to Opportunity Enterprises from Esperanza Community Services, a Chicago-based non-profit, in 2008 as Director of Finance and Operations, and served in the capacity of Executive Director beginning in August 2011. Stupay was instrumental in positioning Esperanza Community Services as a leader in providing services to children and adults with developmental disabilities in the Chicagoland area. Did you know that the deadline for opting out of Indiana's Unemployment Program is December 1 of this year? 501(c) Agencies, an INARF Preferred Partner, is pleased to offer an informational webinar about the advantages and disadvantages of the unemployment tax systems and potential ways to save money by moving to a reimbursement option. Proceeds benefit services that enrich the lives of persons with disabilities. #### Janus Developmental Services was awarded a grant from the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation in support of the Janus Doorways Program. This innovative program offers individuals with disabilities the opportunity to learn about nutrition and enjoy exercise. INARF congratulates our partner in advocacy, The Arc of Indiana, on the culmination of efforts to establish a hospitality training hotel in Muncie. John Dickerson, Executive Director of the Arc of Indiana, says that the $20 million hotel project in Muncie will be a unique opportunity for Hoosiers with disabilities to receive job training.
