Meridian Health Services is committed to making a positive impact in the I/DD population by focusing on “whole-person” health. Connxxions, our program for persons with intellectual or developmental disorders and mental health needs, is celebrating more than 15 years providing services including therapy, mental health skills building, case management, psychiatric services, primary medical care and a 24-hour crisis line. “Whole-Person” Health
This year our commitment to “whole-person” health has meant expanding our Connxxions program to include skills training related to exercise and nutrition. We have partnered with Health Matters to provide a health education curriculum with a focus on improving fitness, increasing knowledge about healthy lifestyle and teaching families, staff and friends to support health goals. This information can be presented individually or to a group or family. Ongoing Partnership with NADD In 2018 Meridian was granted our second three year program accreditation from NADD. The NADD accreditation is awarded to programs that utilize internationally recognized best practices for serving those with I/DD and mental health issues. NADD seeks to recognize those programs that are intent on constantly improving the effectiveness of service in helping individuals attain their goals and the best quality of life possible. In addition to program certification our staff have also been pursuing individual certifications and currently over 40% of our staff also hold individual certifications. We would love to talk to you and/or your agency about how our program may benefit the individuals you serve as well as your organization. Meridian Health Services’ mission is to make our communities healthier through a focus on “whole-person” health. Stronger partnerships make stronger communities, you make this possible.
