Urge Self-Advocates to Ask Their Senator to Support Funding for DSP Wages, VR, First Steps & Case Management
INARF has created a campaign for Self-Advocates, and we need your help to spread the word! Please forward this Call to Action to the Self-Advocates and families in your network:
As a Self-Advocate, you know the how important Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), First Steps, and Case Management are to you and your family and the impact they have on your life. INARF and The Arc of Indiana are asking the Indiana Senate to increase funding for DSP wages, VR, First Steps, and Case Management, and WE NEED YOU TO TELL YOUR SENATOR WHY DSPS, VR, FIRST STEPS, AND CASE MANAGEMENT ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU.
What you can do to help: Contact your Senator today to tell them why DSPs, VR, First Steps, and Case Management are important to you and to ask for their support for our DSP wage, VR, First Steps, and Case Management funding requests to be included in the budget. It only takes a minute to send a message and make your voice heard!
To contact your Senator, visit our Call to Action page. If you have questions, please contact Sarah Chestnut at firstname.lastname@example.org, Phillip Parnell at email@example.com, or Hannah Carlock at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information regarding INARF's Legislative Agenda funding requests, please refer to the INARF Legislative Agenda and INARF Legislative Agenda Talking Points which are also available on the INARF website. Thank you for your much needed help!
