As INARF previously shared, INARF has continued to advocate for additional fiscal relief for day and residential services providers. As a result of our advocacy, BDDS has announced additional quarterly grant opportunities for providers of specified waiver day and residential services and providers operating group homes (ICF/IIDs). Applications for these grants will open on April 2, 2021, with an informational webinar to be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021. See the announcement below for additional details.
Over the course of 2020, the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services was able to provide grant opportunities to support the provider network as it responded to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the BDDS Day Service Sustainability Grants and the HCBS Residential / ICF Provider Relief Grants, the Bureau has approved $40.7 million dollars in grant payments that were issued to over 115 providers.
Today, we are pleased to share that BDDS will continue to offer grant opportunities to its provider network in 2021. Two grant programs will be available:
These grants will be made available on a quarterly basis, so long as funding is available. The applications for the first quarter grants will be open on April 2,2021.
In preparation for this application period, BDDS is hosting an informational webinar:
When: Wednesday, March 17, 2021
Time: 1 to 2 p.m. EDT
Where: The webinar will be held via Microsoft Live. Participate in the COVID Grants Informational Webinar.
We hope that these opportunities are helpful in continuing to support our provider network so that they can provide safe and effective supports to individuals and families supported through BDDS funded programs.
