As INARF previously shared, INARF has continued to advocate for additional fiscal relief for day and residential services providers. As a result of our advocacy, BDDS has announced additional quarterly grant opportunities for providers of specified waiver day and residential services and providers operating group homes (ICF/IIDs). Applications for these grants will open on April 2, 2021, with an informational webinar to be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021. See the announcement below for additional details. Over the course of 2020, the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services was able to provide grant opportunities to support the provider network as it responded to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the BDDS Day Service Sustainability Grants and the HCBS Residential / ICF Provider Relief Grants, the Bureau has approved $40.7 million dollars in grant payments that were issued to over 115 providers.
Today, we are pleased to share that BDDS will continue to offer grant opportunities to its provider network in 2021. Two grant programs will be available:
These grants will be made available on a quarterly basis, so long as funding is available. The applications for the first quarter grants will be open on April 2,2021.
