Sarah joins INARF this month as the Public Policy Coordinator. In this role, Sarah assists with the implementation of state legislative and regulatory initiatives, working with the Governmental Affairs Committee and the INARF PAC Board and the Membership Support and Development Committee. She also coordinates responses to member inquiries related to industry issues and practices, and researches and provides summaries, formal comments, and talking points for emerging issues related to the mission of INARF Members
Prior to joining the Association, Sarah spent over a year working in human resources at Stone Belt in Bloomington and two years completing her Master of Social Work degree at Indiana University. During her time in the program, she completed several internships, including work at the Marion County Public Defender Agency, the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works, and Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky. Sarah also served on the social work board of the Indiana University Student Outreach Clinic, an interdisciplinary student-led clinic serving patients on the near eastside of Indianapolis. Through her work, education, and volunteer experiences, Sarah became passionate about working with people with disabilities. She looks forward to working on legislative and policy issues related to the industry and Association members.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys indoor rock climbing, white water rafting, traveling, and volunteering in the community. She also enjoys spending time with her family on their farm in southwestern Indiana. Comments are closed.
