Crossroads Industrial Services, an Ability Indiana employment center and division of INARF member Easter Seals Crossroads, hosted a visit from Senator Jean Breaux. Senator Breaux is the Assistant Minority Floor Leader for District 34; she has extensive experience working with the community in economic development and workforce training. Breaux has made a commitment to create and retain good jobs in Indiana as well as be a strong advocate for healthcare and labor issues. During the tour Curtiss Quirin, Chief Operating Officer, and Anne Traub, Human Resources Manager, were able to introduce Breaux to many of the workers at the facility. Quirin and Traub spoke with her about the current jobs for persons with disabilities and the potential for new ones. According to Quirin, “She was very impressed with our ability to find solutions for businesses in our community and appreciated the statement we make with our work ethic and support of persons with disabilities and special needs. With the support and involvement from our State’s representatives, we are ready and able to spread the word about our role as an industry leader.”
