The Arc of Indiana has shared with INARF the following information and trainings regarding self-advocacy that they provide.
The Arc of Indiana has trained self-advocates in their Speakers Bureau to speak about some of the topics below. They have a presentation called “Achieving Your Employment Dreams” and another presentation on “Self-Advocacy” (which includes topics like community advocacy). In addition, they just put together a presentation about Grassroots Community Advocacy that was presented at The Arc's last statewide meeting. Their self-advocates would be happy to come do a presentation on self-advocacy at your agency. You can complete a contact form on The Arc of Indiana's website to request a speaker.
