Indiana’s Family and Social Services Administration, Division of Aging would like to announce that LifeStream Services, Inc. has been designated as the Area Agency on Aging for Planning and Service Area 9, serving Fayette, Franklin, Rush, Union, and Wayne Counties. A copy of the recommendation on this selection is available by clicking here. Indiana is comprised of 15 Area Agencies on Aging, organizations designated by the state to address the needs and concerns of all older persons in a designated geographic area. AAAs coordinate and offer services that help older adults avoid institutions and remain in their homes, if that is their preference, aided by services and supports such as home-delivered meals, homemaker assistance, and many other options that can enable or maintain the viability of independent living. By making a range of supports available, AAAs make it possible for older individuals to choose the services and living arrangements that suit them best.
