As part of the Disability Awareness Month in Indiana, Ability Indiana & INARF are proud to recognize Kaylie Savoy, an Employment Services Coordinator at Hillcroft Services, Inc.; and Kimberly Shanklin, a Program Manager at Tangram, Inc., with the Costa N. Miller Scholarship Award, which is presented to two outstanding Human Service professionals pursuing higher education to further their human service careers. The award was created in 1999 to honor INARF’s founding CEO, Costa N. Miller, who grew the Association from humble beginnings in his home to an organization serving nearly 75 disability service providers. Savoy is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. She sees a future in helping others, and wants to ensure that she has all the tools available to continue with self-improvement. In addition to pursuing her degree, Kaylie is also hungry for any education that assists her with her job. She has participated in the BIN certification, Discovery Experience, Employment Specialist Training, and Beyond Barriers to Passion and Possibilities (Job Development) trainings. Shanklin dream is to complete a nursing degree so that she can continue to serve individuals with disabilities. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in General Studies and is currently enrolled in the school of nursing at Ivy Tech. Please join us in recognizing Savoy and Shanklin for their professional and academic accomplishments. We are pleased to support their educational goals by awarding them with the Costa N.
