The eighth week of the Indiana General Assembly session is in full swing. It is deadline week in both the House and the Senate. Bills that have not passed both chambers by the end of the week will be considered dead for the 2016 session. Bills which passed in different versions in the Senate and House will now be eligible for Conference Committees.
Senate Bill 11, ABLE Savings Accounts, passed the House 95-0. It includes an amendment which INARF worked with the Administration to draft which clarifies a drafting issue in last year’s biennial budget regarding group home rate restoration.
Late last week, INARF was made aware of an amendment that was included in Senate Bill 323, Legislative Studies. The new language will encourage the study of multiple issues involving disability services.
