Peak Community Services recently cut the ribbon on their new Supported Group Living home in Winamac this August.
Peak’s CEO, Chris Nabors, welcomed State Senator Ed Charbonneau to tour Peak’s 8-bedroom home with its state-of-the-art amenities, including a walk-in tub and commercial grade laundry facilities.
“In meeting the definition of ‘inclusion’ in the community, we build our group homes within the community”, Nabors said. “We want our clients to be part of the community and live in a traditional home”. Senator Charbonneau is a strong advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the caregivers who support them, like Peak Community Services.
