As a required component of the upcoming Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver (CIHW) renewal, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) and the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) have developed a high level transition plan outlining how Indiana will meet the requirements under the new rules set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
A draft of the transition plan has been reviewed by CMS, and is posted for public input and comment from stakeholders on the Draft Policies for Public Comment webpage. The public comment period is 30 days and will end on August 7th.
INARF strongly encourages our members to review the plan and provide feedback, as your input is essential to the development of a comprehensive and effective assessment plan that takes all stakeholder needs into account. For additional information on the public comment period, please visit http://www.in.gov/fssa/ddrs/4205.htm
Thank you, in advance, for assisting DDRS to comply with the new CMS HCBS rule. INARF is reviewing the plan in detail and will keep the membership informed of any new developments. We hope you find this information helpful. Should you have any questions, please let us know.
