On October 9, 2014, Opportunity Enterprises' Board of Directors named Ellen DeMartinis as its new CEO. DeMartinis, a 21 year veteran of Opportunity Enterprises (OE), had been Interim CEO after David Stupay's resignation in August.
OE’s Board of Directors Vice Chairperson Lori Moulton stated, “The Board is delighted that Ellen has accepted her new role as CEO at Opportunity Enterprises. We are all looking forward to working with her and appreciate her years of dedication and commitment to the mission of OE.” The mission and vision of OE is to create a fully integrated community where life for persons with developmental disabilities is valuable, purposeful and fulfilling as well as to maximize self-sufficiency and enrich the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
INARF was pleased by the announcement as well. With the copious amount of experience serving Hoosiers with disabilities, DeMartinis is sure to continue doing great work. In accepting the new role, DeMartinis stated, “OE is so many things to so many people and I am truly honored to take part in changing lives on a daily basis.”
