Meridan Health Services, INARF member and upcoming 2015 Annual Conference Partner, has been selected as a participant in one of five Innovation Communities sponsored by the SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions. The SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions (CIHS) promotes the development of integrated primary and behavioral health services to better address the needs of patients. CIHS is funded jointly by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and led by the National Council for Behavioral Health.
“I am pleased that Meridian has been chosen to be one of the participants in the Innovation Community. The main criterion for participating is that you have to be ahead of the curve on integration of primary care and behavioral health. Meridian began focusing on integrated health in 2010 and is now being recognized at a national level for being a leader in healthcare integration,” said Hank Milius, President/CEO of Meridian Health Services. “This is a wonderful acknowledgement for us.” Innovation Communities are groups of organizations selected to share knowledge and apply learned skills to drive measurable change for a high-priority issue in healthcare and integration. Lessons learned over the course of the Innovation Communities are compiled and shared with the healthcare field on a national level so other organizations can benefit. INARF congratulates Meridian Health Services for this national recognition. Comments are closed.
