The Association of People Supporting EmploymentFirst (APSE) held its 25th Annual National APSE Conference themed: "Livin' the dream, building the future for Employment First." The conference brought business and community leaders together to focus on integrated employment options for persons with disabilities. During the conference, APSE named Susan Rinne, Chief Executive Officer for LIFEDesigns, to the position of Board President. Rinne has a long history with APSE, as she both helped to form the Indiana Chapter (INAPSE) in 1991 and was very influential in planning and conducting of INAPSE first annual conference. She also currently serves as a member of the INARF Board of Directors. She has been recognized by many for her work in disability services and brings over 30 years' experience to the table equipping her with experience and strength needed to steer the APSE Board toward continued success. Another member of the LIFEDesigns team was also honored during the APSE Annual Conference. Brandi Hamilton, LIFEDesigns Supported Employment Director received the organization's Wendy M. Wood award for her leadership, dedication, and never-ceasing community involvement. The award is given by the APSE Board to recognize emerging leaders who emulate founding APSE Executive Director Wendy M. Wood's vision and action toward full inclusion of citizens with disabilities.
