John Barth Named President and Chief Executive Officer of INARF

The Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (INARF) Board of Directors today announced John Barth as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. In his capacity with INARF, John will also serve as president and chief executive officer of Ability Indiana. Barth succeeds Steve Cook, who is retiring after four years of service and over a decade on the INARF Board of Directors.

Barth joins the organization after serving as Chief Operating Officer at Managed Health Services and brings nearly 20 years of experience as a health care leader, including time with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration and the Center for Health Care Strategies. He is also an elected member of the Indianapolis City-County Council, representing District 7 on the city’s Northside.

“John is a proven and thoughtful leader who brings a wealth of professional and personal experience to INARF,” said Rick Adams, Chair of the INARF Board of Directors. “We are at a critical moment and John is the right leader to advance our priorities.”

Barth said, “I’m honored by the opportunity to build upon Steve’s strong tenure at INARF and eager to get to work strengthening Indiana’s system to support people with disabilities.”

Barth’s appointment is effective May 4, 2020.
