Earlier this evening, the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) announced that the error that caused some claims to be denied or paid incorrectly has been resolved.
Incorrect denials and payments appeared on Remittance Advice (RA) statements dated October 21 and October 28. HP began holding claims after that date to avoid further errors until a fix was identified.
All claims that were being held are now being processed, and should appear on November 4 RA statements. Claims that were inappropriately denied will also be on the November 4 RA. Providers will not have to refile claims that were not paid correctly, as they will be mas adjusted in the near future. IHCP will inform providers when the mass adjustment date is determined. For more information, including which EOB codes were affected, please see the full announcement on the Indiana Medicaid Website.
