INARF is pleased to offer our members the opportunity to recognize their outstanding Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), executive leadership, community partners and persons with disabilities through the INARF Annual Awards and the Costa N. Miller Scholarship presented at the INARF Annual Awards Luncheon on Marth 13 during the Annual Conference. Established on behalf of Costa Miller, INARF's founding CEO, the Costa N. Miller Scholarship Award was created in 1999 to assist Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) pursuing higher education to benefit the human service industry. This scholarship award is made possible through contributions by friends, family and professional colleagues who pay tribute to Mr. Miller's lifelong dedication to our industry through contributions to the Costa N. Miller Scholarship Fund. The recipients of the award must be employed for a minimum of two years at an INARF member agency, be enrolled in an undergraduate program and have a grade-point-average of at least 2.0. In 2013, INARF was proud to present the Costa N. Miller Scholarship to two outstanding DSPs. Amanda Meyer of Noble of Indiana used her scholarship to help fund her goal of obtaining a BA in social work as a stepping stone to a career in Applied Behavior Analysis. Heidi Lanzer, Occazio, is pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse. Both individuals are sure to continue to be an asset to the rehabilitation industry and the people they serve. The 2014 Annual Awards & Costa N. Miller Scholarship nominations are now closed. Please plan to join your colleagues to recognize our industry's best and brightest during the INARF Annual Awards Luncheon on March 13 at the Annual Conference. Comments are closed.
