IHCP Updates - Published 2/12

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at in.gov/medicaid/providers on February 12, 2019 (unless alternate date is noted).

• IHCP to enhance security on the Provider Healthcare Portal
• New program integrity behavioral health and ABA documentation guidelines now available

Provider Reference Modules
Family Planning Services

• Updated the Introduction section
• In the Billing for Family Planning Services section:
  • Specified that medical providers bill on the professional claim
  • Added reference to the Pharmacy Services module for pharmacy providers
  • Added reference to the Procedure Codes That Require NDCs table
• Updated the Contraceptives section and its subsections, including:
  • Added cervical caps to the list of covered services
  • Removed the Oral and Injectable Contraceptives subsection
  • Removed general billing and coding information from all remaining subsections
• Updated the Sterilization Procedures section and subsections

Family Planning Eligibility Program

• Added a reference to the Procedure Codes That Require NDCs code table in the Billing and Reimbursement Requirements section
• Updated information in the STD and STI Diagnosis and Treatment section
• Updated the Contraceptives section and updated or removed its subsections to remove unnecessary information, including billing information available from code table documents
• Updated the Sterilization section and subsections
