IHCP Updates - Published 12/12

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at in.gov/medicaid/providers on December 12, 2019 (unless alternate date is noted).

Provider Reference Modules
Dental Services (see the module for a complete list of changes)

• Updated ADA 2006 claim form to ADA 2012
• Updated the Benefit Limits section
• Added information about nonemergency services to the Package E Coverage for Emergency Dental Services section
• Added the Area of Oral Cavity section
• Updated CDT codes and PA information in the Covered Partial Denture Types section
• Updated the Extractions section, including adding a note about sutures
• Updated the IAC reference and information in the Patient Records Requirements section
• Updated reimbursement information in the Periodontal Maintenance section
• Updated the Periodontal Root Planing and Scaling and Full-Mouth Debridement section
• Clarified billing restrictions in the Prophylaxis section
• Added CDT codes and an additional billing restriction in the Radiographs section
• Updated and clarified information in the Multiple Restorations on Different Surfaces of the Same Tooth section
• Updated the Sealants section to reflect changes in the benefit limit information provided during eligibility verification
• Updated reimbursement restrictions in the Sedation for Dental Procedures (Dental Anesthesia) section
• Updated the Services Provided outside the Dental Office section
