IHCP Updates - Published 1/16

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at in.gov/medicaid/providers on January 16, 2020 (unless alternate date is noted).

BT202004 – IHCP announces new IHCP Roadshow in 2020

Provider Reference Module
Prior Authorization (see the module for a complete list of changes)

• Replaced CMCS references with DXC and updated contact information
• Included a note about Southeastrans in the Fee-for-Service Prior Authorization section
• Updated and clarified information in the Transferring Outstanding Prior Authorizations section
• Updated the list in the Prior Authorization Required for Specific Medical Services section
• Updated the PA Signature Policies section
• In the Prior Authorization Request Status and Notification Letter section:
  • Specified that the requesting provider’s PA notification is sent to the provider’s mail-to address on file
  • Added information about the “in evaluation” IVR response
• In the Submitting PA Requests by Mail or Fax section, added the PA request form for residential/inpatient SUD treatment
• Updated Table 2 – IHCP Prior Authorization Request Form Instructions
• Added the Residential/Inpatient SUD Treatment PA Request Form section
• Updated the IHCP Dental Prior Authorization Request Form section to reflect updates to the form
• Added the Submitting PA Requests through the Portal section and subsections
