IHCP Update: Published November 23

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs posted the following important information to the provider website at in.gov/medicaid/providers on Nov. 23, 2021 (unless alternate date is noted).

• IHCP to revise rates for select DME and medical supply items based on 2022 Medicare rates
• IHCP to revise rates for select clinical laboratory services based on 2022 Medicare rates
• IHCP updates podiatry billing guidance for orthopedic or therapeutic footwear

Claim Adjustments (Posted Nov. 19, 2021)

• Changed DXC references to Gainwell
• Added a note about filing limits in the Introduction section
• In the Types of Adjustments section, added that only the most recent paid claim can be voided or adjusted
• Updated the Check-Related Adjustments section
• Updated the Non-Check-Related Adjustments section
• Updated the Mass Adjustments section
• Added Medicare Advantage Plan to two bullets in the Adjustment Filing Limits section
• In the Adjustment Submission Procedures section, added that a claim adjustment form can be used to indicate overpayment or refund when submitting such adjustments by mail
• Updated that providers open the most recent paid claim in the Instructions for Void and Replacement through the Portal section

Right Choices Program

• Replaced DXC with Gainwell
• Added UnitedHealthcare as an RCP Administrator
• Added hospital services to services exempt from RCP referral in the Services Carved Out of the RCP section
• Updated letters to the current ones in the system (with Gainwell letterhead)
