IHCP Update: Published 12/17

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at in.gov/medicaid/providers on December 17, 2020 (unless alternate date is noted).

Division of Mental Health and Addiction Behavioral and Primary Healthcare Coordination Service

• Updated link and number for Indiana State Plan Amendment (SPA)
• Changed community health worker (CHW) to integrated health technician (IHT)
• Added note about legal guardian attestation and signature requirement in the Submission of the BPHC Application Packet section
• Updated the Ongoing IICP Review section
• Added the Prior Authorization section
• Updated the BPHC Member Home and Community-Based Settings Requirements section
• In the Service Delivery section, updated the sources in need assessment and time frame in monitoring and follow-up
• Added case management to TBI Waiver in the 1915(c) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waivers section
• Updated the CMS requirement in the Utilization of HCBS Benefit section
• Updated the address in the Requesting an Appeal section

Right Choices Program (see the module for the complete list of changes)

• Removed text appropriate for Administrators only and created an administrator manual with that information
• Removed references to hospital lock-in providers
• Updated the RCP Administrators section, including references to the FFS RCP Administrator

• Updated the Eligibility Verification for RCP Members section
