IHCP Important updates posted to the website - Published 5/24

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at indianamedicaid.com on May 24, 2018 (unless alternate date is noted). 

Bulletins and Banner Pages 
BT201822 - IHCP will implement a transition period for brokered NEMT services (posted May 25, 2018)

Provider Reference Modules 
Presumptive Eligibility
• Removed information about the former PEPW process, updated information and terminology to reflect the new PE process, and incorporated any information from the Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women module (being retired) that is still relevant
• In the Introduction section, explained the distinction between pending coverage and PE
• In the DXC Technology section, updated the list of responsibilities and added a note about all PE benefit plans other than PE Adult being FFS
• In the Qualified Provider Requirements section, added Table 1 – IHCP Providers Eligible to Become QPs for the PE Process, listing all providers eligible under the new process and limitations for certain specialties
• Updated the steps and figures in the Enrolling as a Qualified Provider and Completing the Presumptive Eligibility Member Application sections to reflect the new process in the Portal
• Updated the General Requirements for All PE Applicants section
• Added the Family Size and Income Examples for Pregnant Applicants section from the PEPW module
• Updated the Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women section
• Updated Fast Track information in the Managed Care PE Benefit Plan (PE Adult) section
• Updated information about retroactive eligibility in the Inpatient Admission and PE Eligibility section
• Noted exceptions to standard PE requirements for PE for Inmates in the Eligible Individuals section

Provider Healthcare Portal
• Updated information throughout the module to reflect that delegates can be authorized to add, modify, and deactivate delegate accounts
• Updated Figure 17 – My Home Page Features and Table 1 – My Home Page Feature Descriptions
• Added the View Provider Profile Information section
• Updated the Presumptive Eligibility Changes and Presumptive Eligibility Application sections
• Added for users to retain their tracking numbers in the Check Status section
• Updated the steps in the Eligibility Verification Request section to reflect the new Portal process
• Updated Table 3 – Coverage Detail Panels
• Added instructions for indicating emergency services for the dental claim in the Claim Information Section
• Updated the Claim Note Information sections to add that claim notes should be used, if needed
• Clarified information in the Other Insurance Details and Other Insurance for Service Details sections for the institutional claim and Other Insurance for Service Details section for the professional claim
• Updated the Claim Information Section regarding hospital date fields and how to indicate pregnancy on the professional claim
• Updated the Service Details section to include how to indicate emergency services on the professional claim
