IHCP Email Notification - Important updates posted to the website 4/18

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at indianamedicaid.com on April 18, 2017 (unless alternate date is noted).

BT201727 - IHCP revises reimbursement policy for vaccines purchased outside the VFC program

- IHCP will mass adjust outpatient claims for procedure/revenue code linkages that paid inappropriately
- IHCP reminds transportation providers about correct use of HCPCS codes T2003/T2004 

Provider Reference Modules 
Third Party Liability
- Replaced IndianaAIM references with CoreMMIS
- Replaced Web interChange references with Provider Healthcare Portal (Portal)
- Replaced AVR system references with IVR system
- Updated the telephone number for Customer Assistance and TPL Units
- Added Portal instructions for billing and adjustment processes 
- Removed psychiatric reduction from reporting requirements
- Added information regarding the TPL/Medicare Special Attachment Form
- Changed RID references to Member ID
- Updated the different ways for indicating that claims are for accident-related services in the Liability Insurance section
- Updated the Services Exempt from Third Party Liability Cost Avoidance Requirements section to include HCBS claims and to clarify usage of diagnosis codes to bypass TPL edits
- Updated the Identifying Third Party Liability section
- Updated the TPL Billing and Documentation Procedures section 
- Updated the EOB information in the IHCP Remittance Advice Information section
- Clarified electronic and paper claim billing instructions in the Medicare/Medicaid-Related Reimbursement section 
- Updated the Crossover Claims section 
- Added value code A7 to the Medicare Replacement Plan Claims section 
- Updated the Waiver Liability Considerations Related to Medicare section 

Mental Health and Addiction Services 
- Added Provider Healthcare Portal information to the billing and PA request instructions 
- Clarified that mid-level practitioners must bill using only the single most appropriate modifier from the list in the Billing Procedures section 
- Updated the Outpatient Mental Health Hospital Services section 
- Updated the Eligible Providers and Practitioners section directing smoking cessation providers to the Provider Enrollment module for enrollment information 
- Removed ICD-9 code
