Last week, Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program launched a Twitter campaign aimed at raising awareness of the importance of work for individuals with disabilities. The campaign, called #Work4LifeIN, is a social media initiative developed to encourage transition-age youth to share their personal stories of the value of employment in their lives. The Twitter Feed will also act as a discussion forum for VR Services and the benefits of employment.
There has already been a lot of activity in the first week, as followers continue to accumulate. If you have not done so already, INARF encourages you to join the campaign in two important ways:
• Follow @IndianaVR on Twitter
• Visit the #Work4LifeIN webpage for instructions on how to spread the word
Please share this information with your consumers, families, and community partners. Tell them that employment is a “tweet thing.”
