HAPPENING TODAY: Senate Hearing on Graham-Cassidy at 2 PM

Below is an important update from ANCOR on the Graham-Cassidy bill.  Their action alert linked below is not limited to ANCOR members so feel free to use it regardless of your involvement with the organization.  The message can be customized prior to your submission. 
We urge you to reach out to Senators Young and Donnelly on this important topic.  Senator Young is likely a yes, given that Governor Holcomb sent a letter to the Senate encouraging the passage of the bill, but it is still important to communicate your concern to him so he may make a fully-informed decision.  Please contact me with any questions.

Today is a big day for Graham/Cassidy bill moving forward. Over the weekend, we saw changes in the bill to make it more agreeable to key senators (Alaska, Arizona, Maine, Kentucky) but the per capita cap structure remains.  Today at 2PM ET is a hearing with two panels - hundreds are expected to show up to the hearing. If you would like to watch online please go to the below site at 2PM ET (it will also be archived if you would like to watch it later). ANCOR has submitted a formal letter to the Committee and we have also submitted questions to Senate members of the committee to ask about impact to HCBS/ICF-IID programs and are hopeful that discussion will occur.

Following this hearing we expect to see a vote process begin by Wednesday night, go throughout the night and into Thursday and by Friday morning a vote called (remember that members need to leave Friday to observe Yom Kippur which begins by sundown).  This could all change but it's the best intel we have right now.
