The U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division will offer free seminars to assist employers, community rehabilitation programs (CRPs) and other certificate holders in complying with section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Guardians and family members of workers with disabilities, and other stakeholders are also invited and encouraged to attend.
The compliance seminars will cover a range of topics including the certification application process, performing prevailing wage determinations, and accurately conducting time studies. The seminar will also address impacts of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which restricts the payment of a subminimum wage rate.
There is no fee to attend this seminar; however, space is limited.
