The following information was received from the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services intended for Case Management Companies.
According to the current Indiana Health Coverage Programs Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Home and Community-Based Services Waivers Provider Reference Module, case management companies are required to employ at least one full-time registered nurse who obtains/maintains valid Indiana licensure.
Effective immediately, a case management company can choose not to employ a registered nurse full-time, but instead contract with at least one registered nurse who obtains/maintains valid Indiana licensure and who would be consulted on an as needed basis.
This notice does not affect any other Indiana Medicaid waiver services that require the employment of a full-time registered nurse.
