The Bureau of Quality Improvement Services is committed to supporting our provider network in working toward a true person-centered system. We believe that professional development strengthens our network as a whole and ensures quality supports for individuals receiving home-and community-based services. As part of that commitment, BQIS is continuing to host a series of web-based training opportunities. These opportunities are being provided at no cost to participants and are all mandatory for all current Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services home-and community-based services providers. This means if your organization is a current BDDS service provider of any home-and community-based service, it is required that an executive level staff member of your organization attend these trainings. Sign-up, participation and completion of these trainings will be tracked and monitored throughout the trainings.
These trainings will now follow a bi-monthly, regular, set schedule:
The following are specific dates of the next six trainings:
Topics for the series will include: Guardianship, Modifications under the Settings Rule, Access to Personal Resources, Team Dynamics, Trauma-informed Care, and Dual Diagnosis. More detailed information and registration links will be sent out approximately one month prior to each training. Individuals with disabilities, program managers, direct support professionals, case managers, and families are also all welcome to attend. If you have questions, need additional resources or support, or have suggestions for additional training, please contact us at [email protected]. We look forward to continuing to educate and support providers to empower individuals to live, love, learn, work, play and pursue their dreams! The DDRS is a program of the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration. If you have questions about DDRS programs and services, visit us online at www.DDRS.In.gov. Comments are closed.
