The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) released the following notice regarding Update Home and Community Based Settings Rule. Effective immediately, the Family Social Services Administration (FSSA) has decided to suspend current activities associated with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Home and Community Based Settings Rule (HCBS). This pause is an opportunity to regroup to better reflect the partnerships between FSSA, other agencies, and key stakeholders, including CMS, as we better understand how to meet our members’ needs. The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) will use this period to review and reconsider planned Statewide Transition Plan (STP) activities associated with the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services’ home and community based waivers. DDRS will revisit STP timeframes given the extended timeline offered to states for HCBS compliance by 2022. DDRS will continue existing initiatives associated with person-centered planning, including the Person Centered Individualized Support Plan implementation.
The DDRS is a program of the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration. If you have questions about DDRS programs and services, visit us online at www.DDRS.In.gov. Comments are closed.
