COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (December 13, 2019) – Local Whitley County nonprofit organization, Passages, Inc., recently welcomed Betty Kunard, Jana Reeg and Scott Hindbaugh to its board of directors. Passages, Inc. is dedicated to leading or assisting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities into a thriving and meaningful life. The organization provides support to individuals through an array of programming such as: life skills training and creative arts; employment services and support; housing options, including group homes and supported independent living; and more.
Kunard is the director of human resources at Ultra Electronics-USSI in Columbia City. She has more than 40 years of experience as a human resource professional, serving in industries like manufacturing and health care and has experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Reeg has been a Whitley County resident her entire life. She’s co-owner of family-owned business, Gene Reeg Motor Sales. She’s a member of Columbia City United Methodist Church, and has served several years as a board member and treasurer for our local American Red Cross organization. Passages has a special place in Jana’s heart, as her granddaughter Sydney has used Passages’ services as a student at Columbia City High School. Hindbaugh serves as the new client representative on the board. He’s served as a volunteer for the Passages Summer Youth Program, has been heavily involved with one-on-one instructive art through Passages Artistry program, and is involved with the Circle of Friends program at Columbia City High School. “We’re grateful for Betty, Jana and Scott and their service to our organization and the people we serve each and every day,” said Passages President & CEO Jason Meyer. “They’ve chosen to give their time, talent and treasure, while offering knowledge and ideas to Passages. Because of volunteers like them, we are able to fulfill our mission of passionately leading or assisting people with disabilities into a thriving and meaningful life.” Want to stay up-to-date with what’s happening at Passages?
