Re: Community Integration Habilitation Waiver new daily rate billing
Date: June 25, 2015
On June 22, 2015, The Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS) received approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to allow for the implementation of the new daily rate structure under Indiana’s Community Integration Habilitation (CIH) waiver, which is available on the BDDS’ webpage.
The daily rate billing structure has been identified for individuals being served by the CIH waiver who are currently designated as an ALGO 3, 4 or 5, who have 1, 2 or 3 housemates in a shared staffing model and are currently receive Residential Habilitation and Support Services (RHS). BDDS is planning to complete an automated conversion of the Cost Comparison Budgets and send out Notice of Action (NOA) forms to providers and case managers on or after July 11, 2015 for a daily rate effective August 1, 2015.
To prepare for this conversion, providers and case managers who have individuals eligible for the daily rate will be receiving two lists:
Providers will need to check their NOA email on Thursday, June 25, 2015 to ensure receipt of these lists and may also contact the InSite helpdesk with any questions.
