The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) announced that on October 1, 2014, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Indiana’s request to renew the Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver (CIHW).
The CIHW renewal will include the first Preliminary Transition Plan that will be used to ensure that Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) programs in Indiana follow CMS’ final rule, which was published on January 16, 2014.
To view the changes in the CIHW renewal approved by CMS, please see the announcement. For additional information on the CIHW or the CIHW Transition Plan, visit the DDRS website.
As always, INARF continues to monitor the development and implementation of this transition plan, and work closely with DDRS to ensure our member agencies and those they support are impacted in a positive way by the impending changes in the HCBS programs in Indiana.
Should you have any questions, please contact Keith Digman or Christiaan Campbell via e-mail or at the INARF office.
