Earlier today, the Arc of Indiana announced that effective July 1, 2015, John Dickerson will be stepping down as Executive Director. Dickerson will continue his long time connection with The Arc through a part-time, contract position as a consultant for the next several months while also beginning to develop a new direction for his advocacy. He has been Executive Director of The Arc of Indiana since 1983.
The Arc of Indiana Board of Directors has unanimously voted to appoint Kim Dodson as The Arc’s new Executive Director. Dodson first joined The Arc in 1998 as Director of Government Relations, was named Associate Executive Director in 2006. She will bring over 20 years of experience in public policy and government affairs, to her new role as Executive Director.
In reflecting on this transition, Dickerson stated, “To each and every one of you, thank you for all that you do for people with disabilities and their families, and thank you for the support you have given me.” INARF has long valued our partnership with The Arc, John, and Kim. As they embark on their new journeys, we look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts to advocate on behalf of Hoosiers with disabilities. Comments are closed.
