DSPs Ask Your Senator to Support Funding for DSP Wages in HB 1001

INARF has created a campaign for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and we need your help to spread the word! Please forward this Call to Action, with updated hyperlinks included, to the DSPs in your network: ​

Right now, the Senate is discussing which services will receive additional funding in the Senate version of the budget bill (HB 1001). The State sets reimbursement rates providers (your employer) receive for services you provide, thus impacting the amount of funding your employer has to pass through to you as wages and benefits. In order to increase your wages and benefits, INARF is asking the State for additional funding for reimbursement rates for providers to be able to pass this funding on to you. However, YOUR SENATORS NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU ABOUT WHAT ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO INCREASE YOUR WAGES AND BENEFITS WOULD MEAN TO YOU.

What you can do to help: Contact your Senator today to tell them what an increase in wages and benefits would mean to you and to request their support for our DSP wage funding request to be included in the budget. It only takes a minute to send a message and make your voice heard!
