Nearly 200 members attended INARF's Quarterly Professional Interest Section Meeting in Indianapolis on November 18. The morning began with five concurrent Professional Interest Section meetings, featuring a variety of topics and presentations, including Attracting and Retaining Direct Support Professionals lead by five Direct Support Professionals from member organizations, HIP Employer Benefit Link Program presented by Kayla Hsu, HIP Link Outreach Coordinator from the FSSA, and The State of Manufacturing by Brian Burton, President & CEO of the Indiana Manufacturers Association to name a few.
In the afternoon, members heard from the Bureau of Quality Improvement Services’ (BQIS) Director, Anne Davis. Davis announced that Debra Running had been promoted to Director of Provider Services within BQIS and encouraged members to reach out to her with questions. Davis explained the Data Driven Review process, which is intended to offer providers with the information and tools they need to pro-actively identify and address issues impacting quality.
Presentations and materials, which INARF has been authorized to post from the meeting, are available in the Members’ Only section.
Five Direct Support Professionals joined us for the Human Resources section. They were able to give insight into the DSP experience and what members can do to keep the workforce strong.
