Heather Jewell has been promoted from Assistant Regional Director to Regional Director in Indiana, Michigan and New Jersey. Jewell joined Bethesda in February. She has a background in education and has extensive experience serving others in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has worked as a program manager, site director and quality enhancement director with other organizations. “It is so exciting to now be part of an organization whose mission is fundamentally tied to my personal mission. We work to educate the people we support about their choices and options and remove barriers for them to help them live the lives they want. Our incredibly dedicated team does that in a way that puts faith first,” Jewell said.
She will be based in the Indianapolis area and one of her key roles in her new position will be to work with area directors and program managers in the region to ensure the highest possible quality of services for the people Bethesda supports. “Heather has the high expectations and engaging personality that are essential to influencing her team to strive for excellence every day,” said Gretchen Block, division operating officer for Bethesda’s Eastern Division. “We know that people with intellectual and development disabilities have life goals. Heather understands this and will work with her team to help turn those goals into reality.” Jewell graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, where she received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. Bethesda is a national Christian organization providing homes and other services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We help people live the lives they want through more than 300 programs in the United States. Learn more at www.BethesdaLutheranCommunities.org. Comments are closed.
