At The Arc of Indiana’s 2015 Appreciation Luncheon last week, two individuals from ADEC, an INARF member and Ability Indiana participant, were honored. The two honored were Cary Kelsey, ADEC’s vice president of guardianship and compliance, and John Goebel, former ADEC board member and Elkhart entrepreneur.
The Finish Line Youth Foundation (FLYF) is a philanthropic outlet for Finish Line to make a difference in the lives of youth in the communities it serves. Notably, it provides financial support for Special Olympics fitness initiatives focused on helping athletes live a healthier lifestyle. There are three types of grants available from the foundation, which may aid the missions and values of INARF members.

-- To: Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services participants, providers, families and stakeholders From: Nicole Novell, Director, Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Re: CIH Transform subcommittees Date: December 8, 2015 The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) has posted, to the CIH Transform webpage, a letter sent to DDRS Advisory Council members to establish subcommittees that will advise DDRS on the proposed changes to the Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH) wavier. In an effort to strengthen collaborations with organizations that serve Hoosiers, the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration will hold a gathering in Lafayette on Wednesday, January 20 at 9 AM (EST). The purpose of the gathering will be to discuss new resources they have available and obtain feedback on how they can improve their service. FSSA will also release their new FSSA Resource Guide for public review.

The Obama Administration has released its Unified Agenda and Regulatory Plan for 2016, which contains the timeline for major regulatory actions. According to the Plan, the Department of Labor (DOL) projects that its rule, "Defining and Delimiting the Exemptions for Executive, Administrative, Professional, Outside Sales, and Computer Employees", will be finalized in July of 2016.
