The Direct Support Professionals of Indiana (DSPIN) are proud to present our 2013 Annual Conference, in conjunction with DSP Recognition Week, September 8-13. Kick off DSP Recognition Week the right way with your friends and colleagues from across the state, and learn how DSPIN can help you go further in you profession. We are proud to announce that Division of Disabilities & Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) Director Nicole Norvell will kick off this year's meeting, followed by keynote speaker Joe MacBeth, Executive Director of the National Association of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP). Joe hails from New York and will share exciting information about how New York's DSPs successfully worked with legislators to promote DSP credentialing. The second half of the day will focus on advocacy in Indiana, with concrete ways for you to take action to support your profession and your paycheck. (Joe) MacBeth is the Assistant Executive Director at NYSACRA, the largest statewide provider association in New York State. At NYSACRA, he is responsible for implementing and advancing the organization's direct support professional workforce development activities. As Executive Director of the National Association of Direct Service Professionals (NADSP), Mr. MacBeth is dedicated to fostering enhancing the professionalism of the DSP workforce.
