-- To: Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Providers From: Nicole Norvell, Director, Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services Re: Train-the-Trainer Core A/B Medication Administration Date: October 5, 2015 The Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS) will host a Train-the-Trainer Core A/B Medication Administration training session on November 20, 2015, at the Indiana Government Center South in Indianapolis. The training session will be held in Conference Center Room 22 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and is for agency nurses who work for approved BDDS providers. Once the training is completed, agency nurses will be approved to train agency staff.
Earlier today, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS) announced they will hosting another Train-the-Trainer Core A/B Medication Administration session on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 9 AM until 4 PM. The training session will be held at the Indiana Government Center South in Indianapolis, Conference Center Room 22.
Blue River Services (BRS), an INARF member and State Use employment provider, recently honored Goldia Amy for her 41 years of service with the organization. The celebration to honor Amy’s years of service was held at the Harrison County Community Foundation building in Corydon. Amy was the manager at the Lanesville Welcome Center since 1996, but has worked with BRS in many capacities, such as a teacher and cook.

-- In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Gov. Mike Pence has issued an executed proclamation encouraging Hoosier leaders and employers to "further advance the message that our family members, friends, and neighbors with disabilities are important to a diverse Hoosier workforce." National Disability Employment Awareness Month is a nationwide campaign that raises awareness about disability employment issues and celebrates the contributions of America's workers with disabilities, past and present. The theme for this year, which marks 70 years since the first observance, is "My Disability is One Part of Who I Am." |
