The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) posted the following important information to the provider website at in.gov/medicaid/providers on August 18, 2020 (unless alternate date is noted).
Despite day services coming to a halt the last few months at Janus Developmental Services, Inc., staff took on the challenge of providing virtual services, typically through zoom. What started in week one with two staff and a few participants, grew tremendously in the weeks to come, with eventually 15 staff reaching over 20% of all participants typically enrolled in services. The remainder of participants received weekly phone calls to check in on how they were doing, and to hear a familiar voice.
The Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services is committed to working collaboratively with case managers and providers to ensure safe and quality care. As part of this commitment, BDDS is announcing the release of the revised 'Living in the Community: Medication Administration Curriculum; Core A and Core B.' The revised curriculum is titled: 'Indiana Direct Support Professional Training: Core A and Core B, Curriculum 2020.'
