Kim Opsahl will be joining ANCOR as a full time employee effective January 1, 2018.
Kim has been consulting with ANCOR on the Administration for Community Living (ACL) Business Acumen grant, and this new arrangement will have her assuming the State Association Executive Liaison responsibilities along with managing ANCOR’s work on the ACL grant. In addition to consulting with ANCOR, Kim has been engaged with the State of Indiana on multiple projects including Case Management. Her work with the state will conclude December 31, 2017 in preparation for her new position at ANCOR. The September trainings will be for case managers and state staff only. BDDS will be hosting a similar series of trainings open to additional stakeholders in late fall.

With the passage of Indiana’s Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) legislation, Indiana’s Treasurer of State’s office and the ABLE Authority have been working hard to develop a qualified program for our state. Earlier this month, the Treasurer of State’s office introduced INvestABLE Indiana, a new program that will help individuals with disabilities and their families save, while preserving their Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid coverage and benefits received through other federal programs.
