CMS has developed an HCBS Rule compliance toolkit tailored for the new HCBS requirements.The toolkit includes the recently released CMS guidance on person-centered planning for beneficiaries who exhibit unsafe wandering or exit-seeking behaviors, including answers to frequently asked questions CMS has received from states, providers, and stakeholders on how best to comply with the new requirements while caring for these high-risk patients. Overall, CMS is recommending that providers focus on person-centered planning and providing person-centered services for all individuals served.
On February 13, 2017, the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) replaced its information system, IndianaAIM, with the new CoreMMIS and the Provider Healthcare Portal (Portal). Implementation continues to move toward completion. Beginning Monday, February 13, 2017, providers are asked not to submit fee-for-service claims, requests for prior authorizations (PAs), and Electronic Health Records (EHR) attestations through the Portal until further notice.
Providers can continue to submit PA requests to Cooperative Managed Care Services (CMCS) via fax at 1-800-689-2759. Batch claims (EDI 37) will be accepted and held, but not processed.
