-- To: Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services Providers From: Cathy Robinson, Director, Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services RE: New Rates Effective July 1, 2015 Date: May 21, 2015 On July 1, 2015 new rates will be in effect for Community Habilitation – Individual (CHIO), Facility Habilitation Individual (FHIO) and Respite for both the Family Support and Community Integration and Habilitation Waivers. Residential Habilitation Services (RH10 and RH20) will have new rates under the Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver. The new rates are in the table below and a new rate chart will be posted on the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services’Announcements webpage.
As part of INARF’s continuing commitment to ensuring members are informed, we have compiled updates on key issues and activities in which the INARF Board of Directors, Governmental Affairs Committee, and Staff have been engaged in on your behalf.
On May 21st, INARF's Quarterly Professional Interest Section Meeting was attended by nearly 200 members. The morning began with five concurrent Professional Interest Section meetings, featuring a variety of topics and presentations. Speakers ranged from Dr. Katie Herron of The Early Childhood Center to Abel Contreras of Merritt Hall Insurance, Jill Vaught of The Arc of Indiana Foundation to an update from the Daily Rate Implementation Work Group.
Natasha Price, a 20 year old woman with Down Syndrome, was the first person to graduate with a certificate in College and Career Studies in the Path to Independence Program. The certificate is offered by the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) and is a two year non-degree certificate program for students with intellectual disabilities. It is a collaboration of several UNR departments and state agencies.
The following was announced by Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) on May 20th:
The Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) will be sending email notifications and letters to all providers out of compliance with the required renewal process. All providers of DMHA’s Home and Community Based Wraparound Services programs (PRTF Transition Waiver and the Child Mental Health Wraparound State Plan Amendment) and Division of Aging’s MFP-PRTF Grant Services, are required to apply for renewal of approval every two years from the date of approval for Individual providers and non-accredited agency providers, and every three years from the date of approval for accredited agency providers. It is the responsibility of the provider to track their date of approval and submit their application for renewal of approval, 60-days prior to the end of the current approval period. |
