In early May, sixteen members of the Training and Professional Development (TPD) Committee met for their annual conference planning retreat. This year's retreat theme channeled the excitement and passion of popular Broadway production "STOMP," with Committee members "STOMPing for Success," led by choreographers Holly Piggott and Patrick Sandy. The Committee activities included a review of the successes from the 2013 Annual Conference, opportunities for improvement for the 2014 Annual Conference, and identifying themes for INARF's 40th anniversary celebration. Member input played a critical part in guiding the Committee's planning and design efforts, by providing valuable insight on education sessions that are relevant and responsive to member needs through the 2013 Annual Conference post-event survey. While the Conference was rated as "outstanding" by 22.4% of respondents and as "good" by 70.1%, the Committee was inspired to raise the bar - challenging itself to increase the percentage of "outstanding" ratings to 30%. . Thank you to the many members who participated in the post-conference survey and continue to trust INARF as your resource for professional development. We look forward to sharing more information about the 2014 Annual Conference and our 40th anniversary celebration.
